Oh dear, baby fever!

My uncle who lives in Canada is visiting Belgium for a month together with his wife and 8 months old son Elliot. Now this kid is so much fun to play with. That means a lot coming from a guy who considers babies to be nothing but pooping crybabies. But cousin Elliot is actually not a crybaby. He's a laughbaby. He plays with your hair if it's long, he'll just stare at you with a big smile for 30 minutes straight, when you stick out your finger he grabs on and doesn't let go.

So understandably, all the women in the family were crazy about the kid. Especially my girlfriend. Whenever all the aunts and nieces were bored with Elliot, she took him in her arms, rocked him to sleep, gave him his bottle, wiped the drool off his shirt etcetera, just like his mom does. When we got back home, she was constantly on the phone with my uncle or his wife asking about him and such.

She's got a clear cut case of baby fever now. Which is bad for me because I get left in the cold.
