Well, the fall snaps your neck and its all over from there on, electrocutions used to fail quite alot, leaving the person that had to be killed heavily burned and in alot of pain

Yeah thats true. I got told by my history teacher. Its something like they would attempt the hanging 5 times, and if the persons neck doesn't snap those 5 times, they let him go because they believed that it was a sign of god that this person was innocent.

Haha, unbelieveable , the people from the old ages were so dumb in certain areas

I mean, women that were believed to be witches got their legs and arms tied up and then they got thrown in a river/body of water. If they drowned they were normal persons, if they stayed afloat they were witches
