Hi.

So, this is my little warning to everyone who has a computer, this means you, yes...you. Back up your freaking files!!!!!!!



I just lost everything on my computer. Everything. I had some mechanical error on my hardrive.. or whatever it's called...and the doods @ the comp place were unable to restore any of my files... they clearly explained all the methods they tried. So I don't get how this can happen cus I'm so dumb with computers.. but, I learnt the really fuckin hard way. Fuck HP. Fuck it up it's big hewlett ass. I'm so sad.

So now, I have NO music.. I lost all of it.
I have NO pictures! all my fucking memories man...
I have no documents no programs no ANYTHINGGGGG

I cried for about an hour about the music and the pictures cus well, those are fucking important and I can't get them back [yes, i can download songs again... but like hell I remember all 3000 that I had and will probably forget so many that I loved...]

Bah... I wish I could put this in perspective ya know, I know other people have bigger problems and a lotta peeps don't even have comps to begin with. Well...blah blah blah I miss my fucking files this whole thing sucks.



OH OH OH P.S PLEASE do not inform me of ANYTHING that I could have done to avoid losing my files post-comp crash [it would not start back up at all] OKAY!?! Cus I'm pissed off enough already! It's been reformated...so, shut up..tom.

How did your computer get an error on its harddrive? I need to know cause i got an HP as well, and i certaintly dont want any of that happening to me. Sorry that it happened.

I don't know man. I wish I knew. It just went ka-put. No warning. The computer dood is indian and he said he had no luck searching for a "wiros"lol...virus. God I can't laugh...this shit is the shits.

I called my uncle and he told me I should have bought a new hardrive and saved my other one and used it as a slave.....weird terms. He's a compooper geek.... He then informed me that HP makes good printers but nothing else..he said "he'd never buy a desktop from HP...and he'd especially never buy a camera from HP" Well, dear uncle, shut up..cus I did just that. Fuck. I'm SO mad! Big Daddy, BACK UP YOUR FUCKING FILES. Cus I don't want anybody else to feel this pain. It physically freaking hurts.

I couldnt agree with you more. My comps crashed multiple times. So now I just burn all of my music in .wma format and put it on discs alpheabetically.

my friend just loss about 60 gb of files recently. He had 120 all together but the 60 was important stuff, music, work, porn, games, music he made ect.

what your uncle probably meant was to keep your old hd as a slave, so you could transfer the files unto a new or different hard drive. I never tried this, but i doubt it would work because the first one isn't working anymore.

man it's all hitting me, what I've lost.
I cannot believe it... all my work... bookmarks, so many important documents that I should have backed up.. pictures of friends and I mean.. I may have the memories.. but jesus christ.. I'd like evidence.

What is really the worst is all the art I've lost. I've lost a good 3/4th of my portfolio which was meant for my acceptance. I had been working on a digital portfolio for months now.... I can't believe I didn't back it up. I feel so stupid and stressed out. It was filled with scanned and photographed work I can no longer get a hold of. I literally feel like a big part of me is missing and I just want to cry my ass off.. Christ I can't believe this at all..... I may be dramatic but I just can't get over this. Man, fuck HP. Again, I feel so stupid...

I hope I inspire at least one person to back everything up cus face it, computers are just little boxes with assholes hiding inside waiting to fuck you over.

I was just informed that they were able to save 18 gigs worth of shit from my comp!! oh my GAWD! Now I can sleep. I guess I got confused in the computer talk...18 gigs, thats a lot... he didn't say what...

Oh, I was informed that I had 60 somewhat viruses haha...not funny though..... I guess I should get some type of anti-virus THING...no? I'm so happy!!!! I still hate HP.

just cause its got HP on the box it doesnt mean its HP inside, usually lots of different brands of hardware makeup your computer, im not sure about HP so i dont know if they make hard drives or not, anyways at least its sorted
