YOU can (sorry caplocks) download almost any legal form from Nolo Press, you dont need a lawyer for a small claims case, at $5000 max limit in CA. Why not first tell the Vice-Principal that you feel the harm to you and your life exceeds 5k but that is what you can bring in small claims and download the form and fill it out and have it notorized and ready to go. Bring it with you when you make an appointment with him. Show him the copy and tell him you are serious, but you dont want to have to resort to sueing the school district if they are willing to remove the suspension from your record and re-instate your school standing. Dont threaten to sue if they dont do what you say, instead make him aware you are regrettably forced to restore your wrongly damaged reputation and educational standing unless there is some willingness on the administration to help overcome this obvious misunderstanding based on no real evidence at all - you understand that the instructor felt he was acting in compliance with what he thought was the case but he NEGLECTED to establish evidence (blood, urine, anything) aside from his subjective and unfortunately over-zealous and incorrect assuption you were under the influence of prohibitied drugs - which you were not. You dont want to see the instructor punished or put through the same negative administrative grindstone you were - you sympathize having been falsely accused and dont want this instructor to go through the same etc. etc. Its up to you man. Easy as fuck, if you dont care about it then oh well. But you have no excuse not to try - worst case nothing happens - OR you get 5,000$ or less from a small claims case where you say your were injured emotionally, educationally and within your peer group and your community at large by this false un-proved not provable vicious harmful embarrassing slander. AND you can be allowed back into school if you also ask for that in your claim for harm. Shit, its waiting for you to get off the couch and make some free goo.

but this kid got kicked out of a grade I thought for allegedly being stoned - and it was never confirmed via tests. So Im saying he should sue for damages to get his status as a student back, with the implied threat being that they can do it the nice way or they can pay him 5,000$ and ALSO have to let him back in. As for "all you need is money for smokes" I take it you still live with mom and dad? A small percentage of us need money for things like food, rent, clothes, movies, weed, gas, a car, insurance, electric bills, water bills, garbage bills... the list goes on. Damn I wish all I had to worry about was cig money.
