Speaking from experience, I found I got used to working the backshift. I worked at a local grocery store stocking the shelves, ordering stock, and unloading trucks for like 9 bucks an hour. The hours varied from 10-6, 11-7, or 12-8.Big Daddy wrote:The shifts are Mon-Thurs 11 pm to 7 am and it pays 9.50 per hour. My brother in law works late shifts and he says you never get use to it, you just learn how to deal with it.
I used to treat my working nights like I was getting off work and it's broad daylight. So I would run errands, hang out, do whatever for a few hours...like til noon or 1 pm. Then I would sleep til about 8, do my 3 s'es, and then go to work.
You get used to it quickly.
