Saw the band Suffocation last night!!!

Post by Gorecore »

And man oh man, they were so fucking amazing and tight...you can't even imagine. I know that most folks on here aren't into death metal, but this concert last night was loud, hot, and sweaty.

I ended up drinking a quart of Canadian Club with root beer as a mix...yeah, there was nothing else available at the time. I drank all that in 45 minutes, then smoked a joint.

When I got to the show, I was hammered!! I stumbled around talking to people I knew, listening to the other bands playing in the background. Then I bumped into a good friend of mine and I whipped out a noice two paper spliff and asked if he wanted to share. Well, I ended up sharing it with 3 other guys but it was all good. Then one of those blokes produced another J, then another...so I was to the point of, "I gotta sit down"!!

I sat down at the bar and cradled my head in my hands. I thought for sure I was gonna puke, but I rode it out...sweated a lot, then I felt amazing once Suffocation hit the stage. I headbanged, raised the horns, screamed my lungs out...it was brutal as fuck.

Today I had to work at 11. Sunday is the busiest, most stressful day of the week there. I'm leaving that job on Thursday this week to start a new, better paying job next Monday. So I called in sick today. I said, "Ah fuck it." I am far too pasty and woozy to go to work today. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy my day.

Man, I forgot about that. After the 1st song they played, the singer Frank says to the crowd, "I don't know what your rules are here, but when Suffocation plays, our stage is YOUR stage motherfuckers! If you wanna get up and dance anound and dive off, go for it!!"

So during the rest of the show, the stage was swarmed with at least 5 dancer/jumper/crowd surfers. I'm 30 years old, so I feel like my days of moshing and crowd surfing are over! Plus, I'm 6'2" and 270lbs...so I don't know if I trust a bunch of 17 year old guys and girls to be able to support that much weight crashing down on them!

LMFAO! thats hillarious. yea i didnt go up on stage because i kind of kept to myself at the concert but my friends would dive off and get dropped off at the back of the crowd so they would work their way to the front again and dive off again. it was the first metal concert ive been to and i wanna go to another. damn was it fun.

usually i dont like death metal but i was at a battle of the bands and there was this death metal band called corpicide there and my friend bought their cd, and he doesnt like death metal either, but for some reason we both like this band it was really weird cause we really dont like death metal, there was a huge mosh pit while they were playing and people were pouring water over evryone and people were just havin a good time, my friend got literally thrown into the pit it was pretty funny
