I know that this is going to seem like a dumb place to ask this, I need to because I won't get any unbiased replies here, as the friends I would normally get advice from are in this.

Last year, I ended up hooking up with my friend's little brother, we can call him... Fred. His sister, Alicia is like my sister and, though not happy about this, didn't murder me. Now, Fed likes me for... about a year. Asks me out a few times, I shoot him down. Basically, because he's my friend's baby brother. Well, this time after I hooked up with him again (we party too much), we did decide to go out, because I do really have a thing for him. Well, my other friend, Josh, has also asked me out. But not only is he bisexual and still considers himself confused, he's my best guy friend. So I tell Josh I would date him but I liked being single. So now, if I ask Josh for advice on how to deal with dating Fred and being friends with Lee, he'd be pissed at me for lying to him, as well as the fact that he hates Fred. If I ask Alicia what to do, she tells me some bogus shit about her brother to make us split. And Fred doesn't see any problem with telling Josh. So???

I'm sorry, I just needed to get that out, it's been bothering me a lot.

if hes a mate (josh) he'll be a mate for you when u need to talk to him, if hes not willing to help u, u know for sure hes not really a friend. it might be hard for him to accept u with someone else...

Well dating good friends or friends siblings is a real messy thing, in my opinion it is best to be avoided all together. You usually wind up losing good friends.

What the hell, why does this Higher guy always pop in for like 5 seconds and then vanish again?

My advice is, you should realize the synonymity between the words "hooking up" and "going out" before you take this any further. Then, if I were you I'd ask Alicia and just not listen to any of the negative bullshit she spouts. Just try to take whatever advice you can from what she says. If you really feel strongly about this Fred dude, no small talk is gonna break the 2 of you up.

O.o think weed killed too much of my brain cells i have read what u wrote about 4 times i still cant make out what ur trying to say by the time i get to the end i forget what i read before >.<

Aslong as im not the only one. Although i think you should just avoid the situation all together. Theres to many close people to get hurt.

well gettin involved wit people you wanna be friends with forever is sooo hard and you have a big possibilty of losing people you care about more than anything. i think you should either avoid the whole thing or...well i dunno but even if you avoid it and things get bad, i think putting yourself in that position isnt the best idea...i dunno, but im really high and i feel like shit so sorry...best of luck!

one of my best buds older brother went out with my sister for a while then they broke up but its no problem. im still really good friends with his bro. what i would do is just steer clear of this josh, hes just adding more gas to the fire

All seems to be going alright; my friend still seems jealous, but adjusting. I make it a point to keep our friendship and my relationship with her brother seperate unless she brings it up.

Josh hasn't called me. He knows when I'm dating someone new, and won't be around much. If he knew who it was? He'd disown me.

Here's the newest drama:

My ex went on my LJ and told my sister that I had a boyfriend. She called her friend that I work with, and that friend told her that my boyfriend was dirty and smelled. (Totally untrue, he showers like 2-3 times a day when he works). So my sister told my mom, and I got reamed out not only for dating him (Mom heard things that she didn't like about him from my ex and me, when I was mad) and she basically threatened to kick me out. I'm a grown-ass woman and I pay rent, so that didn't work. So now she said that things won't be right between us if I date him, and made some comments about me being a whore with no self-respect. I had a bite mark that she saw on me, and she absolutely blew a gasket, complete with lecture on how sex is supposed to be an "act of love" and that what I was doing was "apparently violent". I looked at her and told her that I like to tie guys up and hit them with stuff; she turned ashen and told me I needed professional help.

Wow I need more smoke, I just ran out. NOOO!
