Agreed man. The first album is the best, the second one don't get me wrong is good but the gimic of the hole album being a story wore off pretty quick. For me anyways..

The Streets are quality. The Irony Of It All is their best tune by far, a must download.

I dont know really what catergory to put them in. It is sort of garage for the first album at least, some of it is blues etc.

Its Garage. But it's worth a listen as the Mike skinners a Lyrical genius to be fair...

I would definately agree that Mike Skinner is a lyrical genius.
Got to the cash machine, still a bit mashed and lean, then of course a manditory car drives by and splashes me
From a song on the latest album

No way, ''Too much Brandy' is the best tune they've done, well one of the best anyway. The first album is brilliant though but then again so is the latest one if you ask me. The 'Blinding Lights' video is damn sweet, minus one awful looking fake punch at the end

The first album was more garage than the latest album. But I suppose it could be classed as just UK Hip/Hop, maybe blues like I said earlier. But uhhhh... fuck knows.

I have to disagree, the streets are so so.but in terms of lyrics he is not a genius.he uses mono-syllabic rhymes and has a way way off flow.but maybe thats part of the gimmic  .at best he at least has some creativity in songs and partly original.
