That doesn't sound like enough....

Hey Erin, are you vegetarian? Or quasi-veggie? Just wondering. :)

I was a vegetarian for three years (Age 11-14). During that time, I was supposed to have had a growth spurt, but kids aren't the greatest about making sure their nutritional needs are met. So I hit puberty, didn't grow an inch for that time, and my parents took me to the doctor. The doc said it was because I was a veggie, and my parents literally held me down and force fed me meat for about 2 weeks until I gave up. I did grow a bit after that, but not much. I'm 5'5", which is a normal height for most women, but not a woman whose parents are 6'0" and 6'4" respectively.

Basically, I eat only enough meat as I have to. I end up hiding it in salads and soups, mostly.

That's horrible, your parents can't force you to eat meat if it goes against your beliefs and you really dont wanna do it. Your average height now anyway, tell em where to go. I dont really understand veggies, i cant really imagine a meal without meat, but you have the right to choose.

Well, it was almost 7 years ago, so I could be a veggie now, I just am not. It's not been an issue now. I was just explaining why I eat some veggie dishes.

Dad died almost ayear ago, so I can't. But Mom knows I was never happy about it, and I think she feels bad about it whenever I bring it up.
