I got a nice pipe today off a tokin buddy for 10 bucks, it was a quick trade so I didnt get the chance to examine it but now that I take it home... WOW that bitch is dirty, Im easly convinced it hasnt been cleaned once and its just not the bowl thats like that its the mouth part, Carb, inside everything. When you breath in on it, it taste like ass and bitter hot sauce.

So I've been running water through it and scraping the old resin (inside and out) with a toothpic or paper clip and I must say this is the nastiest shit I've ever seen. Any better way to do this and get ride of the nasty taste?

Buy some liquid 420 cleaner from your local headshop.

all of my local headshops make you be 18 to buy anything related to smoking... but yet my friend bought a Katana and sling blade from the same place when he was 14 and said he was 15.

Hot Water and Rubbing alcohol works wonders, that's what I usually use on my glass pieces. If anyone else has suggestions, throw em in.

Oh damn, I totaly forgot about Alchohol, I have the bowl spotless right now but the inside is completely different story

I agree with Weedguru Sensei, whenever I'm done scraping mine I give it a nice alcohol bath with a little warm water. Leave it for about 20 minutes, then, over a sink, plug up all the openings and shake some of the liquid around for a few. Then dump it down the drain. Repeat as many times as needed until you can see through it, then follow that same process with soap and hot water. Next, grab some fresh alcohol and Q-tips, and paper towel. You'll be able to see the grungy spots after you've washed it, so wipe them off with the Q-tip. When you're done, wash in soap anmd water. Let dry, and it'll look like a new piece.

I had to rerince with achohol atleast literally 40 some times and each time the lequid was redish yellow coming out of it but now the thing is clear and clean with the exception of a little resin underneath the bowl and places that cant be scraped easily but thank god that horrid taste is out and it still makes me gag thinking about it. After I achohol washed it I ran some mouth wash trough it to git ride of the achohol taste and it kinda made sense since its anti-bacterial, plus it tasted minty.

washing up bowl, fill with hot water and fairy washing up liquid and submerge the bong in the boiling water. wait 20 mins and take out, repeat this again, and it will come up clean, you may need somthin to wipe the downpipe though`. this removed about 2 years worth of resin for me. and its not toxic and wont damage your peices.

I use OxyClean. i boil up some water and poor it into a bowl with the Oxyclean, stir it up and sit my pipe/bong in it. wait 20-30 minutes, it will be fucking spotless, trust me.

The should use THAT on those dumb-ass OXY Clean commercials.. instead of laundry in the tub, the host should throw some bowls in. Bet it would sell a hell of a lot more product that way.
