Does any one know any thing about computers?

I reformated my computer or someshit, any way the harddrive ended up crashing completely the other day... I just booted from the cd and its fixed but my I have no drivers installed... I have no idea on what to do, the main thing is that my monitor is 19 inch and its stuck in 640x480 resolution.. Now I installed the driver for it off dell.com, and it came up on my desktop, it did its thing, but it says to go to display properties, which I did, settings tab, advanced, monitor tab, then under monitor type, it says default... and beside it where dell keeps telling me to go is properties, which it says I need to click there and then click update drivers or something but properties is grayed out and wont let me click on it.. I also noticed that my sound drivers dont work.. What should I do??? Any help and I would be thankful..

they never game u a driver cd?...

ahhh get into device manager and pick on display adapters get into the properties than update driver and you can browse for the driver folder

aight I think thats what I did last night and it worked, thanks

but now my computer is running good, no spyware and none of that other bullshit

Good thing I decided to mess around with it cause I was just about to spend 80 bucks on a new hard drive, before it came up fatal system error, computer wouldnt even boot up, Then I reinstalled windows xp and hell its crazy, but whatever works

instal sp2 and run updates.... after you wont need no adaware or pop up stopper ... well it well help tremendously to say the least wont work 100% of the time though

you bought a new harddrive cuz of a fatel system error :/, you shoudl of just formatted the old harddrive ;/

i got it workin good now, I thought I was fucked before this cause I had all those trojans and spyware like crazy, computer was all crazy, but now it works good now
