Outdoor chems??

If im growing outdoors is there any need for chemicals or nutrients to make my plants grow healthy and if so what is the basic essentials. Thanks alot

i know this reply is late, but just in case you're still stuck with that question:
for the first few weeks, i think that your plants will probably have enough nutrients in the soil around them. perhaps towards the end of the 3rd week or so you might want to think about adding some fertilizer to the ground near where your plant is growing.
