How Well does your mrs or her brother know A, and how involved is A with the other guy?(forgot his acronym) I'd be surprised if she isnt really worried, she probably just doesnt think she stop stop him doing what he's gonna do. Try getting them to talk to her and getting her to convince him. If he really care about her, your words coming out of her mouth will have more of an effect. Depends how much of an addict he is already whether he can be convinced.
