got a few questions about bongs.

hey im fairly new with weed. guess you could call me a noob. any ways me and my bud decided to try and make a water bong. we made it out of a regular sized water bottle (the kind you get at conerstores) and an empty pen for the pipe. what i wanted to know was how you would make a good bowl. also how big it should be and such. and if you had to pack weed into the bowl or just kind of put it in there and lit it up.

don't get a metal pipe, them bitches suck. get a glass pipe. but make sure you know what you're lookin for because not all glass pipes are good. or just make a pipe, it's not that hard. as long as it has a bowl,a mouth pieace and sometimes you need a carb. you can make one out of an apple,appricot,can,bottle if you have the skills like me,paper towel roll(steamroller) or a bong with a bottle. one time i made a bong out of a giant plastic watermellon that a friend found..but since your amiture you probably couldn't.

trumpet mouthpiece makes a great bowl or a lug nut

A 5/8" Socket will fit perfect in the top for a mouthpiece.

yah use the socket, and as for packing it, if u bust up the weed it will burn alot better and stay cherried

My most reliable two are:

Go out and buy a nut and stem, or bowl and pipe as you call it in the US. You should be able to get one from any bong shop. Use a cigarette to burn a hole about half way up a 500ml bottle and poke the stem through.
Add a rush hole (shotgun) if you wish.

Or same idea but use hose pipe and a socket set nut of about 9 - 10mm. Be careful not to choose a socket with too big a hole. Should one with a big hole only be avaliable then just make your mix a bit courser until you build up a cone in the nut. After heavy use you should notice a build up of burnt shit in the nut and eventually get a nice cone.
