depends where you stay..
there's this chick who's interning wth us from Northwestern Uni..she and her friend are paying 29,000 rupees a month for a flat in one of poshest parts of town...i could never afford to stay there and she thinks its a lot cheaper than the States...do the math and see...(48 rupees per dollar)
i dont know your budget

where i stay is alos pretty good...suburban, nice middle class locality and i pay 5000 rupees a month rent..all expenses in total (including cell phone bills, food, weed, electricity, water, gas)..comes to about 9000 rupees a month...well excluding weed

we get them in what is called "pudiyas"..these are palm sized ziplock bags..for 50 rupees..each..if you buy them wholesale, you can buy upto half a kilo for around 400 rupees..approximately..these are rates from two years ago..i stopped smoking weed since..but dont think prices could have changed that much

india sounds awesome. i've been to palestine and egypt a couple times, egypt's a bit expensive if you live in one of the nicer cities, but plaestine sounds about the same as india.
