College Dropouts

Post by Weedguru Cusmar »

I just dropped out of college today. I looked in the paper for a job and phoned a number and i've got my first interview on friday :D The woman on the phone said i would be making £300 a week. I'm not sure what the job is, except i've got to welcome new clients to the company :? My mate is in pretty much the same position i'm in, and he's got an interview on friday aswel. We're hoping on going halfs in on a flat and dealing, the idea of my own place sounds amazing, no bitching from my mum.

I was just wondering if anyone else dropped out or didn't bother with college and what they're doing now.

Well I'm still in highschool, but the idea of a few more years in school doesn't appeal to me one bit, so I might not even enroll.

Good luck with the interview by the way. :)

i did the whole uni thing and i'm reaping the benefits of that in my chosen profession. however my younger sister left school in the 11th grade and is now making twice what i am in sales and music promotion. tertiary education can be somewhat over rated, but it all depends on what field you want to get into......

Also i just spent $400 at the hydro shop so this next grow should be a raging success, especially since all my roomates are up for growing and i wont have to hide shit anymore!

I started growing before i had left home, but i never started to make big money until recently, and in 2 weeks i should be making a LOT more than i am now. I was always running soil, nothing more than a very basic hydro system. But today, the tides have turned...

-Coroplast 48 10mm Trays
-8' * 8' Table, my new system is Aeroponics with a spray system. My timer is set to go off every 15 minutes, which will deliver 2 ounces of misted water directly into the bottom of my PVC Pipeline, which delivers my water and nutrient solution from my resevoir
-the Little giant 5 MSP water pump to supply my misters, since my res is going to be on the ground, and im gonna need something powerful enough to get the water 3 foot from ground level.
- Black and white Poly Box
- a brand new 1000w HPS Kit, complete with ballast, 15m cord, and a reflector
-a brand new 400w MH Kit, ballast , cord and reflector
- Dr. Chronics nutrient solution, supposed to make some massive buds

Ive already started germinating the seeds, just need to wait for them to deliver it (theyre building most of it for me! Woooo!). More good news, i finally got the guys at the Hydro store to talk about weed with me because i went after they had closed, and theyre gonna come to my house, set it all up, and if im having any trouble with root disease, clogged pumps, oil leaks, ANYTHING, theyll come to my house and help me out free of charge.

It pays to spend a little cash sometimes, all this was $499.99. 8)

Ill definately start growing, I been planning to do it for a while now. My mate tried recently with some £50 blueberry seeds, they didn't even sprout

How do you get the plants to stay so small like that My plants are all like 3 feet tall right now Im hoping they dont get to large so I have to take them outta the closet. Would giving them dark now make the vegetation process come faster. I read that it would but im a first time grower and im just curious.

They're so small because theyre still young, if you having problems with height try cropping or tieing them down, theres plenty of ways to control plant height.

I usually cut off at 3.5 feet, and then start cropping and tieing down, makes some fat buds if you tie them at an angle where the cola's are being exposed to more light.

Think of it this way, your light supplies a certain amount of lumens, your plants growth is also connected to the height of your light above your plants.
If its too far away, your plant will exort energy trying to get closer to its light source, try moving your lights within 3-4" of the top of your plants, so then your ladies can concentrate on filling out and getting bushier, rather than spending its valuable energy desperately trying to reach the light it needs and getting very skinny. If your light is closer, it also promotes strong root growth and a firm stem, so your plant wont snap under its own weight.

Peace 8)

Edit - if these look stockier or bushier than the owns you have, keep in mind these are hydro, and hydro outperforms soil grows in every way, especially in the Veg stage ;)

Are you providing any nutrients?

Also theres no real set time to start flowering, not too early obviously but I wouldn't force a plant into early flowering. Once you get a few grows under your belt you just know when its time to switch your lighting schedule, when your cola's start to develop and your happy with the size and stalk of your plant, switch to 12/12 lighting. Also what kind of light are you using? For veg i run a 400w HPS and a 400w MH, so i get both the blue and red color spectrum, and when im ready to flower i throw'em under the 1000w HPS. Ever since i switched to the 1000w ive gotten almost double the yield i was getting off my 400 ;)

PM me if you need any help.
