for so many years humanity has been employing,
policies and developments which are destroying,
natural resources in the air, the sea, the land,
greed is the only currency most people understand,
cos its not enough to simply survive,
other species must be concerned when the white men arrive.

so many conquests in search of wealth,
with no regard for the planets health,
we even kill each other,
when we find new territories no life can run for cover,
human colonization,
has led to a worldwide exploitation,
of the natural spehre which led to our creation.

why is it that every non-human creature,
lacks a'i dont give a fuck about the world' attitude as their mani feature?
we dont what they think,
but for sure,
i know theres more,
to the life which exists without capitalist ideas and war.

i get mad,
i get sad,
when my learning curve spreads more light,
on the history of the white man as a global blight.

take for example where i was born,
when from the tranquility of the womb i was torn.
for more than 50,000 years before today,
aboriginals have survived and done okay,
but when the pale skin finally came,
they treated the natives with unforgiveable shame.

like a heartless and powerful storm,
this ancient race was decimated for not wanting to conform,
to the intruders strange way of life,
they couldnt win a war fighting against the gun with a knife.

the old residents had lived man and nature in harmony,
but the explorers preferred to reign with a well stocked armoury,
they introduced cattle and other aninals to their newly claimed terrain,
which continue to this day to cause the original settlers death and pain.

what i am learning is that we lack,
respect for the natural elements of the earth that we should keep intact,
humanity sees the world as its due treasure,
and will continue to use it any way they can to derive more pleasure.....

cheers caro as ever, in my dreams i am a emcee, but in reality i am a novice poet. I would love to try just saying some of my rhymes with some beats, i have spoken abou tit with a couple of mates at various times over that last couple of years but never done more than talk about it. mau i take this opportunity to offer my sincere belated condolencies on the loss of your brother.I am sorry i didnt add anything to the original post as I was not having much to do with the site around that time. A tragedy, which ecnouraged an unprecendented show of solidarity by so many people who took time to write. I hope that you are okay and dealing with this untimely loss as I know you to be string enough to do so.
He lives on in you for sure.
