Computer screen is borked

Right now I have to use 800*600 instead of 1024*768, because when using the latter, my screen looks all choppy and shit, and it gets worse with higher resolutions. I think it has something to to with formatting my computer yesterday. I have XP Professional.

Download the drivers for your graphics card and install them.

Check the monitor settings, refresh rate, driver stuff like that.
If you have the new drivers installed the problem shouldn't be the graphics card. Try installing it again. Maybe the main board driver is not up to date, try installing it too.
What kind of hardware do you have?
