torture trying to get to sleep

I've been sick the last few days, so i've been going out for a joint or two in the afternoon and just bummin out at home all night. And when I climb into bed, it takes me about 30 mins to get to sleep and i keep waking up every 2 hours or so and i'm hot as fuck and sweating. I'm wondering if i can't sleep because i haven't smoked anything in the evening and if anyone knows anything which will help me get some sleep (except weed because i'm too sick to smoke it

)

no actually if you smoke when your about to go to sleep, youll have nightmares and like scary shit dreams. but you can smoke all you ant through out the day.

If you were a regular (like almost everyday) smoker, the sleeping probs are probably because you haven't smoked. Of course it might just be that u have a fever..... The sleeping probs stop after a few days

true. ive been smoking since i was 13 witch is now 16 years of smoking and you dont get problems sleeping, but if your a newbie to smoking and have been smoing for like a month it is common to get some problems.

I always have sleep probs for a few days when I'm off green for a bit.
Its probly happening because your ill, you shouldn't be smoking if your ill

your body is having to work over time to get rid of whatever bug you got and it can't cope with having to take the THC out of your blood too plus have your brain not functioning like it should. It probably won't do you any major harm (unless your seriously ill) but you will get effects like not being able to sleep etc. which isn't gonna help you get better.

yeah punkindrublic i smoke before sleeping a fair bit, i always have unreal dreams, plus i tend to remember them

Smoking for bed doesn't make me have nightmares, it juts puts me to sleep. Best form of sleep pills I know.

i dont light up before bed cuz ill fall asleep right away and itd be a waste of weed. also i cant sleep if i abstain for a night then

ya of course, I always smoke a few hours before sleeping. Like when the effectis wearing off a bit - geez, I couldn't sleep right after a smoke even if i wnated too

thanks for all the replies guys, i've been smoking weed on an every day basis for about a year, it was probably because i was sick, i have slept fine on some nights without smoking weed, but good news is, i felt much much better when i woke up this morning, celebrated with a few nice hotboxes in my mate's bros car

shame my throat hurts like a fuck when i swallow still, which is a bastard when on munchies

I have absolutely NO dreams whatsoever wile going to bed stoned.

i luv the feeling when sumthing bad happens in a dream and you think you're up shits creek but then you think "oh, this is a dream", then you're really relieved

I used to have dreams all the time, but not anymore...
