PVC pipe

Alright, I'm a freshman in high school and since i've been smoking for several years, I decided to make a bong on my spare time. This is what I did:

Materials

1. About a foot or two (or longer, depending on how long you want it) of PVC pipe
2. A drill with some nice, big drill bits
3. A lighter (A torch is what I used and it was MUCH better)
4. A hose of some sort. Make sure this hose has a nice high melting point. I used a tubing I found in my dad's tool box that looked like a very short garden hose with some metal shielding. It also had a female garden hose connection at the end, which is my bowl.

Steps

1. Drill a hole in your PVC pipe that's big enough for your thumb to fit over it. This is your carb.
2. This is the tricky part. You now have to get the PVC pipe warm enough so it can bend slightly easily or more. This is where your lighter or torch comes into play. You need to get the pipe warm and use a screwdriver or something like it to widen the hole until it fits the diamiter of your hose. If you have a drill bit the size of your hose, than use that. Make sure your new hole is about 3-4 inches from the base of your pipe.
3. While the PVC is still warm, jab your hose into the new hole and quickly cool it off with cold water. Make sure there is very little or no air cracks between your hose and it's hole.
4. If your hose doesn't have a bowl on it, find one or make one and put it on it. Trust me, a few minutes looking through your dad's garage and you'll find something perfect.
5. I didn't add a cover to the base of my pipe because you can just put the hollow base onto a hard covering, which will act as the solid base. Or if you must, you can add a solid base by duct taping or glueing a large enough jar lid. Wala! Your ready to toke.

Remember, you can make anything that you can smoke out of with about an hour or two and your garage. Sometimes you need to go the the hardware store, but just lie to your parents and say you need your supplies for some project at school. NOTE: Try using this as a great water bong or bubbler by adding water or someother liquid to your pipe. Make sure it has a base!!

i wouldnt use pvc pipe it releases mad carcinogins that can mess you up ( not blazed) i think i read it at www.hempfiles.com

What about the carcinigen levels for cpvc pipe? It is a listed alternative for stel pipe for fire sprinklers. It will not deform near as easily as pvc pipe. "They" took pvc pipe and made it able to withstand much higher temperatures because of the nature of the end use for the product.

Did you know that when PVC is heated it lets off gas's that can KILL YOU

i have a watter pipe made of pvc but the bucket is made from metal. since the water i put in is always dead cold, its prevents the pvc to overheat and release deadly gazs

Yeah but in his bong the PVC isn't being heated much because the bowl is at the end of the hose...... it all depends on how how it has to be to release the poison gas, because if it's a high point the hot smoke won't be hot enough. No?

i was just looking under smoking>bongs and pipes> an easy bong design

And they suggest you use copper tubing......now thats bad.
