How does a bubbler work?

i saw one of these cool things on "www.everybodydoesit.com" and decided that i'll buy one of them but first i am just curious as to how do they work? is it like a bong?

if you have it, it's not that hard to figure out how to use...you place the bud in the bowl and smoke it....the only difference to a bong is that you dont pull the bowl out and suck in all the smoke...it's more like a pipe just with water

just pour water into the bowl, load a bowl, hold the carb, and get high as hell
