But could you be anymore non-descript? Electronic music is just a little vague!
To start off tho, Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin, Radiohead & DJ Shadow rule.

Top "electronic" artists, i call it dance, electronic sounds kind of....gay?? *insert tweedles smiley here*
DJ Hype
DJ Tiesto
DJ MArky
Hixxy
Breeze and Styles
Prodigy
Pendulum
Paul Johnson
Photek
Shy FX
Plump DJ's
Stanton Warriors
they are just of the top of my head, theres a good mix of breaks, D'n'B, and hardcore in there.

calling it dance music excludes half of electronic music.

wow Dj tiesto and Prodigy in the same list
That does make the sense of electronic music really large. but doesn't every song based on electronic instruments belong to the genre Electronic Music.
Its kinda seperated in many many more types than D'n'B and Dance.
Like: Trance, House, Hardstyle, Funk, Punk, Hardcore, Acid, Techno.
I do like some real trippy music like one of these styles above when I'm really trippin out..
