It will last as long as u want it 2 last. you'll have 2 clean it out after a couple of months depending on how much u smoke but the bong will last forever if u look after it.

I just recently made a bamboo bong that I'll be posting
pics of and I got one or two uses out of it before it broke.
I had to cure the bamboo first, and then make a bong from it.
Stupid me...

I usually toss mine after a single smokeout, and just make a new one the next time. But that's just me, and I make mine half-assed out of plastic bottles and foil.

a bong is what you make it out of, it will only last as long as the things you use to make it will hold up.
