ok i saw it the first day it came out.. it was a while back.. and i was total baked.. I ALMOST SHIT MYSELF.. the girl in the closet made me have a heart attack and everyone else screamed so it made me laff so hard.. its the greatest movie.. ull laff, cry, and scream when ur high watchin that shit (in the threathers) bc on a tv isnt the same

yeah i saw it when i was fucked up and it was the scariest movie i've ever seen. I haven't watched it at home yet but in the theatre it was really really good.

its scary on your own in your own house at night? i had a smoke and saw this with friends and althugh i thought the mvie was great, it still freaked me out a bit. we need them different feelings from time to time though. excersices our emotions. im smoked up so im out. peace.

i havent seen this version but i watched the original japanese version with english subtitles and it was kinda creepy but i watched it with my bro so i dunno how it would be by myself and i heard the original japanese version is better and scarier than the american remake...but i doubt youd wanna watch the japanese one reading subtitles when youre high so you might wanna check it out when your not high

and for anyone who cares, the japanese version is called Ringu...theres also Ringu 2 and Ringu 0: Baasudei which is a prequel...and Ringu isnt actually the original...Ringu: Kanzen-ban was the original in 95 it was just a little known TV movie

Ringu 2 is awful tho.

The remake is awful, it just completely misses the point of the original, the jap version was scary cuz it was mostly psyche and badly filmed etc. but the remake is all crappy computer graphics shit.

Well, as an avid follower of Japanese culture, I saw all the Jap versions of the film a long time ago, and thought they were all pretty cool. Especially Ringu and the prequel.
Personally I haven't ever really liked Hollywood remakes of any film, but The Ring was a very good film. Admittedly it did miss out a lot of things that the original japanese version had, and was very different storywise, but it was a good remake, and had some pretty cool ideas.
I found ringu to be the most freaky, as it was a lot more psychological than the rest of them, , and I really liked the way that it was shot. had some clever yet amateur filming going on!
