What are we all doin quoting people and not typin anythin? New trend? ahh hell I dunno but dont pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase bandwidth remember I'm sure there are plenty of us would rather not do without weedguru over Christmas!

its people who basically would say the same thing as what someone else said so rather than typing it out they just click quote and voila...i need to stop doing that hahaha

I agree and it wuld be alright if we had more bandiwtdh to go round but if somebody has sed what u think then dont bother saying the same if its been done once its been done a thousand times! Yeah?

Quoting actually doesn't take up much bandwidth, its only text, and small amounts of it.

its posting that takes up bandwidth pictures dont or anythin else so what else can if people post with jus quotes that takes up bandwidth if this happens in more than the odd place it is gonna use the bandwidth if it gets done more than once or twice. In just coming to weedguru and surfin round the main site and checkin and readin all these posts it uses up bandwidth everythin gets accumulated so if the difference between havin wg up or not is a small amount of bandwidth then the quotes are gonna do the damage cos just quoting and posting nothin else is neither use nor ornament? U with me? If not then forget about it I chill wit that

Pictures do make a difference man. Avatars don't, because they are hosted on your own personal server - or wherever it is you find to host them.
Things like using smileys. As small as that picture is, using one smiley is the equivilent of typing several of our average-sized posts.

U confused dude avatars take up bandwidth cos they aint hosted on our own servers asmodeus uploads em to wg server and yes smilies do but sig pics like mine dont cos they are hosted elsewhere and posting takes the brunt of it all cos it involves information transfer between your comp and the wg server which is what bandiwdth is all about transfer of info from wg server to your comp so everytime you visit this site or make a post quotes or not takes up bandwidth cos u sent info to the wg forums

Every time you load up a page on WG it takes up bandwidth..which is why Asmodeus recommended using the 'back' button rather than clicking the links when you are surfing the site .
