An aphorism is like a wise saying/adage or just simply a quote.

For example:
...*What you think today contradicts what you think tomorow*...

This quote relates to many of us,because we all know that every now and then we might say were gonna do something or feel a certain way and then not do it the next because we changed our minds. A perfect example of this, is when you judge a book by it's cover: One day you may think the person youre judging is a total bitch or a total loser but once you get to know the person and you realize that theyre not the person you were expecting them to be then youre opinion will suddenly change

What does this mean to you?

"Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work"

This is often happening in our lives,we tend to miss out on great useful opportunities because we just don;'t realize it's there...but it really is,maybe half the times its always there, but since it seems so difficult to accomplish, we tend to shift on to where it seems easier and nicer when in reality it really isnt.

"Depression is anger without enthusiasm"

When you're deppressed you feel angry at the world and feel like beating the shit out someone or something, maybe even yourself.. :? ...but you just don't have the energy to do it.

That certainly isn't clinical depression. :| What you speak of sounds more like semi-psychosis, or as I call it, average teenage angst

Anyone saying depression is a luxury doesn't sound like they know what clinical depression is either.

Depends on the view of depression. Depression can be viewed as a high, and technically it is. Ever met a person so deep into depression, they'd rather not leave it. They're comfortable. "Comfortably numb" sound famaliar? On top of that, depression is more common in the more well set famalies because they have more time to think. A chlild who is consistently working and caring about school work often enough doesn't reach the level of depression of a true manic.
