Emotional marauders

There be lots of ashes for hearts within these borders,
Because there are people thriving on the weakness of others, emotional marauders.

Too many people taking advantage of situations with potential,
Unfortunately one party usually fails to understand the differential,
That lies in the flow of energy between woman and man,
The marauder holds the power; one cant and one can,
Control the direction and intensity of a situation like this,
Where always there one left bereft with nothing more than a goodbye kiss.

Maybe the strong are attracted to the weak,
Knowing that reigns can be mentally dressed on the meek.

I don’t like it when I hear a man describing his lady in a manner quite lewd,
Lack of respect perhaps and not exactly an indication of a good partnership with comment so un-shrewd.
Cos she’s thinking she’s got her dream mate,
And has had her head in the stars since the beginning of their first date.

There is something different in sucking up people’s emotion,
When you’re using them for sex whilst absorbing their devotion.
If the love of only one half of a couple produces all the affection,
Then all is not in balance and the scales need correction.

I suppose that a lot of whom you meet is down to chance,
The random people that come across our paths as we advance,
Through the complicated,
And sometimes underrated,
Trip of life,
Always containing love, hate, happiness and strife.

thanks mate, its wicked to actually have someone sincerely like they like what i write, thought it was only me, i rhyming not been very poetic, but i just love ryminmg and it a nice fun way to express yourself i think, have apop and get sum stuff stuck on here mate....
