Any New Years Eve plans?

I don't have anything planned this year, unless something last minute is offered. I like New Year's Eve a lot, but spending it alone shouldn't be so bad. I'll have my dog to keep me company, and 20 grams of dankity danks.

How about the rest of you? Spending a quiet night at home with your significant other? Going to a loud nightclub? Hanging with a group of friends at a house party? Dining and dancing until the wee hours?

Every year I go to this really nice steakhouse, get delicious crablegs or lobster, a fantastic chocolate lava cake, and this year I finally live on my own so my girlfriend is coming over, probably getting some wine, will be fun.

Then depending on how coherent I am after it's over there's a good chance I'll stop by a friends house party.

I've done that quite a few times when I wasn't single. To me, it's the best way to ring in the New Year...being with loved ones, watching the tube, munching out on pizza or chinese food.

I was thinking about that saying, "Watching the tube" just a few minutes ago and it dawned on me. With the advent of flatscreen tv's, some of us aren't watching a tube anymore.

"Hey man, wanna check out what's on the panel?" Hmmmm...just doesn't have that ring to it.

Oh, and HAPPY NEW YEAR....in 15 1/2 hours.
