he's an extremely fuckin good artist, writes a lot of meaningful lyrics and has been around in the underground for quite some time now.. the only thing that keeps me from listening to him a lot.. he repeats the same things a lot and doesn't have much style to his songs besides the select few VERY popular ones.. dance with the devil, bin laden, speak your mind, the point of no return... there's a few more, but the rest of his songs almost seem like just fillers for the CD and it's hard to listen to the same few songs 500 times

yupp def one of the best out there.....i'm all about lyrics and wordplay and this dude does exactly that...and he is not about all that mainstream bullshit....he actually raps with deep meanings

I, too, recently started listening to him. Great, great shit. His words flow extremely well and carry much weight in importance.

I used to listen to a few of his songs when I was a lot younger but didn't really know what the lyrics were about, I just liked the beats.

But then Sprite posted Cause of Death recently somewhere on here and now I'm listening to him every day and understanding his work fully and for that I thank you Sprite.

Agreed, with what I think sprite suggested, i mean agreed to a degree....in that some of his albums are littered with Filler. But, and this is a huge BUT, the weight and potency of his true gems, are beyond criciticism, they are from the heart, they are spreading truth, spreading desire for positive change, amongst ALL peoples...I wish I had the link to an interview I saw with him a while back. It was at a hiphop festival, and the interviewer was a huge black guy, all jokey and hiphop wordy spastic...Immortal waited patiently, as he was introduced, he showed zero reaction to the big up from the nubian behemoth, and as soon as he got the mike, unlike those before and after him, who wanted to bask in the spotlight focused on them, mr Felipe (immortal) literally roared into the mike, about people who knew better, but chose to avoid the truth to continue with their materialistic, selfish ways. He ranted and he raved...made it clear beyond any doubt that he was advertising, promoting AWARENESS not himself...and the interviewer, when he finally got the mike back in his giant hands, was dumbstruck, didnt know what to say other than...'so...ummm...thankyou...immortal technique...umm...a man of heavy words...'

yeah after re-reading what I said you're definitely right, he's definitely an AMAZING artist with skills very few can achieve.. I guess I just overplayed him a little bit when I was younger, but he's a true artist and wants his thoughts heard, not for fame, but just to be heard.
