Re: Wakeboard
A friend of mine has a wakeboard, but neither of has ever used one. We only have water skiing experience. My daughter has been begging me to try it so the other day we went out and let her try. She tried to get out of the water 5 times but couldn't. She got up almost once but face planted as soon as she came out of the water
Do you think she is too young (as in lacks the strength)? If not, do you have any tips? We know you have to pull out sideways....but other than that are clueless

Re: Wakeboard
sideways is a misconception... i spent a day trying to get out sideways and did exactly what your daughter did.
you need the wake board and more like a 45 degree angle... so that as you are pulled out of the water... you lean back and allow the board to slide ontop of the water and into the right position rather than you busting your biceps trying to hold yourself against the wall of water you are pushing with your board at a 180 degree angle... does that make sense?
your daughter may indeed be too weak... but its one of those bicycle things... once you know how to get up... its easy...
also... the boat needs to go hell for leather to get you and your buddy up...

Re: Wakeboard
Ya, that makes perfect sense...we were kinda telling her to push with her legs like water skiing. No wonder the poor kid couldn't do it!
The boat is plenty fast...it's 115hp
If the weather permits we'll have another go at it and I'll let ya know

Re: Wakeboard
Wakeboarding is awesome
Been wake boarding for about 2 years now
Havent been in a while
The key is to have the bottom of the board facing the back of the boat, then as it starts to pull you, lean back until you can pull yourself up and then slowly turn sideways and ride that shit. Make sure you are leaning back at all times, you dont wanna lean forward at all really otherwise youre going face first
