I woulda stuck this in one of the smoking forums but they bongs, lungs, piopes. i have looked over some pas threads but not found the info i require...

i did buy a vap in uk last year, a master blaster, but it seemed shit. it didnt seem to get me high. not sure if it was cos it was the cheapest retail vap i could find or cos it was shit.

anyway the time has come for me to stop smoking. so to continue my love affair with herb i must buy a vaporizer/
now my lady is kindly gunna go halves on a vapo with me for christams so betwen use we can prbaly get up 250/300A$.

i would realy appreciate some of you to offer some words of advice and experience about different designs and methods and also importantlyu about the highs available, as he reports i read prve very conflicting.

so yeh , please can some of you reccomend some vaporizers that you know to work well.

also it would e cool to hear from some more stoners who have made that jump from burning to vaporizing.

I suggest buying my unused Vapor Brothers Vaporizer. Its the type with a wooden box that has a temp dial (the dial does not have any indicators of what you are set on - ie a gradiated 1-10 numerical indicator with 1 being coolest and 10 being hottest - it just has the dial and as you turn it up the heat element gets hotter. The heating element is a glass tube which has a heating element in inside it. The element is similar to the type you have in a car cigarrete lighter - a coil which glows when it is heated up fully. You take the other part of the vaporizer - the whip with the bowl in it - and you put a small ammount of product in the bowl part which also has a screen in it, and you hold this in one hand. You have pre-heated the vaporizer to your preferred temp. (I have seen people mark their sweet spot with white-out or a marker) you hold the whip to the element, and inhale.

Works great. I got it and then got a Volcano, so I didnt need the Vapor Brothers product. The site for more info on this is

If you want it PM me, even if you dont buy it from me, I would suggest this type of vaporizer as it has good temp control, easy use, heats up fast and works well. If you can afford it, I like my Volcano - but they are around $500 US and are not exactly portable - they are big, heavy suckers but they work best of all the vaporizers I have seen.

I also really like "Eagle Bill's Shake 'N Vap which is a handheld simple vaporizer which uses an ordinary lighter as a heat source and can be taken anywhere.



As for a review of what it is like to switch to a vaporizer from smoking, well it works. A lot of my friends have tried the vaporizer, and the high is fast and always surprises them. I have heard one complaint mentioned above all others, and that is the fact that a vaporizer (used properly) makes all the different flavors and characteristic taste of different strains all taste the same. I have found this to be true. You get a sort of "vaporizer" taste to the thing. A doobie gives you the access to the flavors of different strains. Vaporization, I guess due to the way it works, sort of makes it all taste a bit like hash. If you want to truely get all the taste, vaporizers are not the way. However, my Volcano uses *FAR* less product then any other way of ingesting THC. I can get 4 big bags of vaporized THC from a small bowl sized load in the vapor. People cannot believe it. If used right, (low temp, take your time) a vaporizer gets you high almost immediately, within seconds of the first inhale, and makes the kind bud last forever. I know people who have vaporizers and who never use them, however, as they just cant get over the flavor issue. I personally prefer the high from a vaporizer - its a clear, clean high - and it obviously doesnt cause the harm that smoke does - you can see that the product is not burned, the resin glands are heated to a temp where they vaporize and you inhale them. I save the "used" product from the vaporizer and use it to make cookies with - and *still* get high. So a small bowl load gets 4 people high, and then gives me a cookie when done. Pretty efficient use of product.

Vaporizers are sick! It's like you are sucking on a straw so to speak and before long you realize that you are just stoned! Goo is correct it is a different high and it feels hmm cleaner I guess would be the word. The first time I did it I was suprised how long the bud we threw into the vapo lasted, longer then if you were to stick it in a bowl, plus if you decide to camp on the vaporizer you will not be wasting bud. This is a defintite advantage over bowls or joints.

Basically if you like to sit around at home on the couch or on the computer then a vaporizer would be perfect for ya. Thats the disadvantage it is not very mobile as a joint or bowl is. I like smoking out of the vaporizer because the buds not burning my throat or making me cough and I can tell that it is immensly better for my lungs. This would be the ideal device to get someone who doesnt like smoking pot to sit down and try it. It feels as if you are not inhaling really anything at all.

I'd buy the most expensive one you can afford. One that can heat the weed so you can get a hit of smoke or just heat it enough to vapourise the THC.

That's pretty much my opinion on vapourizers. Why do you want one, is it cuz you dont wanna smoke baccy in you joints? If so i would highly recommend a shisha pipe. Gets you at least as stoned as a joint, if not more so, lasts longer, doesnt stink the house out and the baccy is pretty much harmless. Try it, probably my favourite smoking method at the moment.

wel im 26 and it high time i srated taking some reasomable care of my body.

i have been smoking since i was in my early teens andthe last few yasr especially have been very heavy on the joints.

so its fr health reasons. if i can stop burning shit and inhalin so much carcigenic smoke then i will be xtremely happy cos i dont want to stop using marijauna, co si love it now as much asi have always have, but i must make some changes which will benefit my health.

every year i say , im gunna stop smkoing im gunan stop, then i dont,w henever i dont have ne green to roll j/s i end smoking lotsof rollups. i really just wanna stop using alighter for nething but luighting candles.

so i trust you guys, and if some of you say that the high is as good as from j's, as i have read elsewhere, then i will definatel be looking for a vaporizer in the next week or so.

goosters, how much did you want for yours???just may as wel ask as i reada good review f the vaporbrothers vaporizer. sounded wicked and different in deisgn to my shitt od master blaster. heated the weed by convection not radiation(hot plate).

ive replied gooster, and yeh i am after your vaporbrothers vaporizer.
we just need to work out how much in total its guna be with a whip and the faster postage option.(is there ne way you could estimate at all accurately the diffwerence in cots of the cheaper slowertr postage and faster expensive option).
