In Bruges is a comedy/action film about some assassins that are sent to Bruges, belgium. I've only seen the movie once, but it was fucking awesome. I'm buying it soon so I can watch it again

Yeah, made a thread about this one before it all went to shit, at first I had my doubts, for like the first thirty minutes but then the story just soared right off, one of the best movies i've seen this year.

I am not at all a fan of Farrel. Ever since I saw his rendition of Alexander The Great. To be fair I am unsure if he simply didn't research the history of one of History's most powerful men, or if he was told, by the director, to play the character as a weak, effeminate pansy, but either way, the effect was a disgrace to the memory of a man who literally dreamed and then conquered, the ends of the earth...It made me conclude that Farrell was a pretty, but not talented actor, and that opinion has not been changed since...even in this playfully, but also unrealistically jolly jaunt in Bruges...for assassins, are rarely so jovial. In fact I doubt they ever are...which doesn't detract froma half decent script, but nonetheless, I have no interest in Farrell, so he spoiled the film for me...if you want to watch a film about dark angels, watch Leon. Its better written, better acted, better visually...I know, through a first hand account, the lives of some assassins, and they ain't like Farrell, irish or otherwise...so...Fuck you, Farrell. Fuck off back to your phone booth and keep looking pretty...

this is one of the funniest films ive ever seem

I doubt that anyone who finds this film scandalousy amusing, will ever find common ground with me, but so what eh? I am not looking for camaraderie...I am looking for Truth.

haha how many assassins have you met recently animal?

I know of a couple, through a close friend who was involved with the neopolitan mafia for much of his younger life...And knowing human nature, portraying humans as cold blooded killers who remain jolly and upbeat, seems...ridiculous. The only folks who can kill without any darkening of their soul, for nothing more than money, are also, by their very nature, unlikely to be 'nice' people.
