The purpose of a haiku:
The importance of the poet's first impression, just as it was, of subjects taken from daily life, and of local colour to create freshness.
What is a haiku?
Haiku-poems consist of respectively 5, 7 and 5 syllables or 3, 5, and 3 syllables, in three units.

seasoned trail sunshine
I run while I'm getting paid
mossy log session
