I've never heard of types of bongs. I thought bubbler, bong, and i thought thats it. Well actually theres gravity bongs but i believe thats it

bubblers aren't bongs, they're pipes. and theres two kinda of bongs, the first one is your traditional bong. water in the bottom, bowl on the side, either carbed or having a sliding bowl. and the mouth piece is on the top. the second kind is what we call around here as a "backwards" bong. its basically bowl on top, with a long down stem and a tube sticking out the side to inhale from, but they're much less common

sounds more like a one person hookah to me if it has a tube.

hookah have hoses, but your right, imagine a hookah except without the charcoal bowl and the hose, just a regular bowl and a tube where the hose would normally be. heres a good example of what im calling a backwards bong (sorry if you guys have a different name for it all names vary from place to place)
