I had the most amazing weekend ever...

I have been hanging out with this girl for about four months and it's been made clear that we both have feelings for each other, but she's afraid of getting hurt again and she's got some stuff to sort through, stuff like that. I stuck around, gave her support when she needed it and space when she wanted it and generally tried to be a good guy to her. I tried to get over her, but it just wasn't going to happen.
Lately her and I had been getting closer again, talking more deeply, and hanging out everyday. So we decided that we were going to go camping for memorial day weekend and we would bring some friends. At first nobody but her and I could go, and I asked her if that was the case if she'd want to go and she told me she'd almost like it better that way, but we had to invite people and whoever could come would. So we had 2 other people (another guy and girl) come with us.
We didn't get to our camp site until 1am and we were in the middle of nowhere. Like 6 miles up this dirt road twisting through the mountains. We set up camp, smoked a few bowls, and drank some. We got pretty fucked up and ended up playing music and partying until 5am.
The next day we laid out in the sun together by the creek and just talked. That night we were going to bed and were sleeping side by side when she just grabs me and pulls me close, gives me a kiss and starts to fall asleep. I woke up still holding her. That hasn't happened for months.
So when we were heading back she kept telling me she didn't want the trip to be over and all that. When we got home we were talking on Myspace (yeah...I know) and she posted a poem as a bulletin, I read it, then she quickly deleted it and asked me if I read it before she deleted it. I of course saved it because...well...I don't know why.
Everytime you look at me
I see it in your eyes.
Everytime you sleep by me
I feel it in your breath.
Everytime i talk to you
I hear it in your voice.
Sometimes I think I know what I want
Oh, what I need baby.
I think I'm strong. Invincible.
But we know this is crazy
For i'm still young and naive.
To sleep alone on lonely nights
My phone dead, the house empty
I look outside to see cars passing.
People with places to go and things to see
But I'm just sitting here alone.
I used to think it didnt matter
Turned my face away from my heart
Looked in nobody's direction.
I thought I was being smart.
Was content with these lonely nights.
Well I'm not anymore, baby.
When you look at me with those eyes
Its true. I melt inside.
Don't I hide it good?
I guess it is my pride.
I'm scared, you see.
I'm scared of what this poem might bring
If you even read it.
...I can't be having a silly fling
I'm scared to open up. To depend on anyone.
My heart is already broken.
I'm scared to break it more.
To be let down, again.
But it's something I can't ignore.
I'm scared, but this is how I feel.
You know I open up in poetry
And this is something i couldnt conceal...
Oh, and when I came home I had a job offer which was sweet!
