where to grow?

i want to try to start growing, but i really have no clue where to grow. indoors is out of the question. can i grow in the wooods i have near my house? i live in pennsylvania suburbs.

where in PA u live, I think I already asked that before but I forget but just grow it in the woods somewhere or on top of your house
