if i fill a water bottle with water and some seeds in it. will the seeds grow? or do i have to use a wet paper towel to germinate seeds

just put a tiny bit of water in them so it won't over water it and kill it. Just make it so theres a few drops in the very bottom of the bottle.

can i germinate the seed in a water bottle
