hitting a vapo?

Hi, me and my friends made a vaporizer out of a lightbulb and pen and shit. It worked and all and we all got high. Well we put the weed in the bulb closed it and lit it with a lighter till smoke started to swirl in the bulb (the bud wasnt actually lit just smoking) and then we took our hits. I read that the bud shouldnt smoke in a vapo, so did we do this wrong?
PS we still got pretty high.

don't put the lighter so close to the lightbulb, and just suck in on it wen ur done.

just put the lighter under the lightbulb for about 7 seconds and it'll be filled up fully by then.

there wont be like black smoke, its more of like a white haze. make sure the flames not actually touching the bottom of the light bulb.

why u using a vapo if ur makin ur shit smoke anyways....

If you're saying that it's because you haven't had the chance to smoke out of a good one. They give you a longer lasting high and you're not putting any free radicals into your body.
When you heat the weed it gives off vapor, it's not as thick as smoke but you should still be able to see it. Once you're done the weed should look like someone sucked the green out of it.

hmmm... this sounds interesting... i want to try it... is the lightbulb method the best
homemade way... i dont want to buy one... yet... so home made for now
