i got the pipe blues

recently my brother pointed out (which i believe he did before but didn't understand him or really cared) that my favorite pipe i have dosen't have a tight seal. i have a corn cob pipe which has a better seal then the metal pipe.

first off, is a tight seal important? i imagine it does, but after one bowl sharing it with someone else and im too the moon, does it really matter?

and secondly, how can i fix this little problem. it seems the elbow (if thats the correct term) isn't tight or sealed enough where the elbow and the shaft meet. any thing i could do?

Well, its better to have a tight seal. You could seal it with some kind of glue, or gummy stuff, maybe the stuff a plumber uses to seal pipes.....but then you won't be able to get your bowl off to clean it....I'm not sure what you should really do. Maybe the pipe'll be okay the way it is too
