It seems Amsterdam has decided to ban public smoking of marijuana, including inside it's notorious cannabis-selling cafes.

I really hope they don't! That will set back all the other countries so far! All the morons like Anne Wydicom (sp?! not that it matters, the stupid bint) will try to get on every TV prog they can ranting on about how 'if the dutch have banned it it must be nearly as bad as heroin...' and other such complete nonsense.

I wouldn't worry, if the business's make so much do you really think that it will stop them? i mean its illegal in the first place, its just overlooked, so this new law or whatever isn't really gonna do much to change it

Smoking in coffeeshops in Holland isn't illegal. Yet.

all these restrictions on cannibus piss me off to fuck. There are so many people in the world that will pay for it, and so many people that will supply it that the only thing achieved by making restrictions is the wasting of taxpayers money. cannibus smokers make up a considerable percentage of the world, and to tell us that were criminals and to try to denigh us our right to choose what substances we inhale (or eat (nothing like hash brownies) is just arrogant. ampsterdam sounds like fucking heaven to me, and i'll be gutted if the cafes get shut down before i'm in there, smoking some blunts

If most ppl there in holland enjoy those shops, why take them away? it's stupid. it isn't harming anyone like other crimes do. the only ppl being hurt by it (health concerns) r those who KNOWINGLY smoke it...

This action will only bring out anger and controversy. This is NOT an addictive drug like ciggys or something and not extreemly dangerous at ALL (crack, heroin ect...) so there's no reason to ban it because ppl should hold the right to have the freedom to do as they wish. Hello, human rights, heard of 'em? So if some ppl there don't like it, they can leave...there are plenty of other nice places for them to go in the world. Those who enjoy smoking pot don't have that luxury.

Bah, weed would sux if the government gets involved. Weed is Canada's 1/3 GDP (Gross Domestic Product). If the government trys to shun it down, the economy will plumit. Just the same for the Dutch economy. It will suffer like no ones business. Government never turn out good results when they get ther hands dirty in things.

Granted, it'd be hard to listen to what 31 million people have to say (im talkin bout Canada here, cuz im from deh T.DOT!) and im too tired to finish this thought...i'll give it a rain check..blah..

Even when the law passes nothing will change, its not like the police care to much because people can still buy it there.
