Apocalypto

Howdy movies lovers i went and saw apocalypto last night, directed by mel gibson. i was stoned (obviousally) and it was really freaky. The movie is about this 1 dude from a village in the middle of no where and these evil az dudes come and burn his village down and take every1 as prisoners... and start sacraficing them to the sun god, then some prophecy starts coming true and the main character starts fucking up all the bad dudes. It has some very cool stunts and crazy shit, like a guy gets mauled in the face by a jaguar and another dude gets impaled by like 4 massive spikes... the whole movie is filled with alot of blood and gore, wouldnt reccomend it for the softer stomached people lol... yea anyway has any1 else seen this yet?

this movie was actually pretty good, I have a VERY short attention span and get bored easily, and while watching this movie i never once got bored...

yeah it was really good despite what i went in thinking. i was pleasantly surprised. 7/10

what was ur favorite scence? i really liked the part at the end where the dude gets impaled by the pig trap. he thinks hes gonna fuck up the main dude but then all of a sudden CRACK and hes fucked up...

movie sounds better than i orignally thought it would be. when i first saw the trailer for it, i thought it was some kind of "documentary" kind of movie. not an actual documentary, but along those lines, where they talk about an ancient society or tribe that went through a hardship or some kind of mysterious doing. i dunno something like that.
but after hearing your reviews i kind of want to see it now.

It was badass for violence and shit, the story wern't the best and was kinda obviously entirely bullshit and not accurate and shit but a good excuse for a film and was fun to watch. The jaguar getting that guys face was the fucking shit that was the best scene i recon.

yeah well, its definetly a nice movie but not a piece of art or anything. i wasnt sober and for me it was more of an lame story with lots of violence. half of the time the main guy is fleeing and running in a forest so you're just watching leafs. i did like the maya/aztec civilisation as an time/place for the movie.
not for the faint of hart , with a field of corpses, half-cut off heads with blood squirting from a vane, a guy getting impaled and somewone breaking his head on a rock among other random acts of violence, but hey thats hollywood
