Anyone know of a way that works or have any ideas? I don't know if there's a chemical responsible for the change or if it's simple residue but any help would be appreciated.

paint...but I wouldn't recomend it.
Seriously though, the only way to make it change faster is to smoke out of it more and not clean it.

Isn't it just the resin inside that makes glass pipes change?
I had a yellow pipe that started to turn this really cool pipe. But then it started clogging a lot so we cleaned it and now its back to yellow.

The color on pipes change from the heat on them I'm pretty sure, The resin would just make it look black and bad looking though. It's either the heat, or its the smoke that makes it change color. IMO, just toke away and wait for it to change.

well
the fun of a color changing piece is... that the color changes a bit each time you smoke from it.
well, this is the fun of it to me.
i don't know why you would want it colored already.
cause once one of my bubbler or bong is totally colored, i buy a new one, this is how i build my collection.

meersham pipes change colour, well the meersham part does anyway (i hope i spelt it right) but thats because the meersham is like a very slow spongue to the tar/gunk residue, except its a stone like, but because it absorbs this it changes colour gradualy, and after a Long time and lots of use lol

THe paint changing is to depict how experienced the piece actually is. Therefore, SMOKE out of it. and it will change alot more. And its not gonna change overnight...so be patient, SMOKE and youll see the colour grow!
