Hey guys, well here's what's up.
For my 21st birthday my mum is going to give me a return ticket to anywhere in the world, I kind of feel guilty taking it as we have never been very well off in terms of money. But she has been saving since she was pregnant and will not have it any other way.

Now I'm having huge difficulty deciding where to go. Ideally I will travel to another nation and work there for maybe a year or 2, maybe even take up permanent residence there after returning to Australia to say goodbye.

The first problem is that I would most likely have to go to a place where english is either the national language or at least quite commonly spoken ads it is the only language I know. I could go anywhere but with less chance of gaining employment.

Does anyone have any ideas, definitely would like to hear from people who have been places that they fell in love with and would love to live there, or already do.

The only places I have come up with are England(top choice atm), America(have no desire to travel there though lol) or somewhere in Europe. I am not too tip top on my geography so any informative replies would be much appreciated, thanks!

Move to British Columbia, Canada. The weather is nice (depending on your proximity to the North), the weed is plentiful and prime stock (so I've heard), and jobs are easy to come by. I've heard the average wage out there isn't too bad. I live on the East Coast of Canada and our jobs/wages suck. Our weather kinda sucks here too...

...shit, I should move to BC. :)

Yep, come to Canada, I live in Ottawa (the capital) currently, and i love it. Lots of beautiful sights, beautiful weather, and beautiful women (ottawa has a male female ration of 5:1) And weed is plentiful, cops dont care in Canada.

Anyways, look it up :)

or you could move to amsterdam and take up a job in a coffeeshop :D

but, if i were you, i wouldnt let the language change my plans, virtually every modern country understands and speaks english. as long as you dont go to kazachstan or honduras or something.

damn i want to travel man

Perfect weather all the time.
Your wealth will be times 4.
Try to find a job that can be done for the biggest part over internet.
Close to the US, for some miami shopping trips.
HOT HOT HOT chicks.

If I get the chance to do so I will definately.

Ps; thats some nice gift you get there from your mother ;).

 Cheers to BC!

The weather has been kind of crappy lately, but it's usually okay. Stick closer to Southern BC, Fort St John's average winter is like -6, and summer in Kelowna is 40 C (104 F) but on the sunshine coast (aka where I live :D) or Vancouver, you get snow and sun, skiing/snowboarding and the beach! Plus the green...soo much green.

I was paid $8 an hour for my FIRST job..and I was bumped up to 9 when they got government funding for training me as an Assistant manager.

This is in lower Gibsons (on the sunshine coast! I live close to here)

I don't mind eastern Canada at all...

I wouldn't move to BC either.

But, that's why I'm no help. I'm sure BC can be nice, I just had a miserable time the two times I went there.

I loved Ottawa though.

check out the new amsterdam cafe when you're there. high quality pieces, that are pretty pricy, but very unique to the region and are simply incredible both in look/function

I live about 4 hours from British Columbia, and it is a really good place.
We get weed from up there sometimes, and you can really tell the difference between our local stuff, and the stuff from BC. And our weed is known around America to be some of the best in WA and Seattle mostly.

mmm...BC bud.

Move there!

i agree with hashpipe... dont worry about the language... living in a country you pick up their language real quick... and imagine how cool it will be to come back to aus and be able to speak another language... even if it is Canadian
