Vaporizers. Do they work?

In the past I have purchased two vaporizers. One was called The MasterBlaster which consisted of a mounted heating element, a tube to draw the vapour through, and a screw-on glass jar top. The other, more recent purchase was a handheld high tech looking Vapir One which included a temperature control and bags to fill with vapour. I had next to no joy with both these devices. The Vapir One almost got me high but no way near as high as a J and in the end I was using it to fill the bags with slightly thinner than average smoke rather than enjoying smokeless stoning. The Master Blaster was nothing more than a costly joke.

I want members to post, in this thread, their personal experiences with vaporizers. Not hearsay or information from other sites. Just hard facts about specific designs. Which vaporizers work?And which are a complete waste of greenery and $?. How is the high when compared to other intake methods? First hand accounts only please. Reviews with photos would be perfect...

Volcano vaporizers are supposed to work extremely good. Instead of inhaling smoke and other crap, your inhaling pretty much pure THC. They're found in like all the coffeeshops in amsterdam. TOo bad theyre 500 dollars...

I have smoked out of my friends' Bud Brothers vap. FUCKLOADS of times and got FUCKLOADS high. Like not like other pot highs, hallucinogenic shit. Slight visuals and time distortion

know how much it costs ?

And is it like any normal vap. or does it employ different techniques of burning the thc, or do you just have to use a lot of bud when using it. just wondering cause of how you described your high. sounds like a pretty good investment

i have used vaporisers, and for me, they work like a dream, heck after takin one i feel like i am in a dream.
only thing is, they do take time, i mean its not instant, i usualy let mine heat the pot for a good coupla mins before i inhale (depending on the vaporiser u use, depends on how long i would wait) for mine i would usualy wait about 5-10 mins, but for the old pipe-vaporiser i had, i would b heating that thing for a good 10-20 mins before i took a toke
i mean, all the THC isnt gna vaporise in seconds, u gotta givit time

Volcano is the best vaporizer in the market. There's really nothing better out there, but you pay for the quality it tends to run for about $500.

DAYMN ! ! ! no way i would buy that for myself. if a couple of my friends decided to split it with me (and me keep it), then i would probably buy one. What makes them so special as opposed to other vaps.

Over the summer I'd use it on a daily basis. The herb stays in one place and you fill the attaceable bag with smoke. Once it's filled you have a plastic bag (whatever size you decide to make it) you put on a mouthpiece and the smoke stays stored in the bag until you're ready to inhale. It has different temp settings but it's a very simple and effective system.

i want first hand accounts from members on here who I can trust. Not from other forums. I have done all those searches many times before and so far, in this thread, only rory has actually mentioned anything about the high. The volcano is by far the most famous Vap out there and what Doc said can be found on a thousand weed related shops and forums the world over. ANy more information from your own personal experience, Doc , would be gralt appreciated. For instance...How high did it get you? Did you end up using less or more weed to get happilyy stoned???

luckily its rather cheap compared to automated vaporisers, but as i sed, it takes alot longer in burning, i wud spend At Least 10-20 minutes heating this to get a decent hit, but then again, the hit is very good in my opinion, also, u gotta shake this one a little so the heat can get to all the weed... this one can b hasslesome....

now from personal experiance, this thing is the shit, but u gotta b patient with it like all vaporisers, i mean u cant expect all the THC to just vaporise in an instant, it takes time, its the same concept as boilin water, it doesnt all suddenly evaporate, it takes a little time...

EDIT: i thought it best to mention, when i heated the vaporiser pipe, i was using a zippo, so the heating was relativly slow, so using other lighters may take longer/shorter, but luckily with the pipe, u can usualy see the vapours rising, and when u see vapours ye inhale (otherwise u will loose em out the top) and also, u can use tha vaporiser pipe as a normal pipe if worst came to worst

The high is strong and long lasting .With one bowl in the vaporizer I would have a good high going for about four hours. You can change the temp settings to make the smoke as thick or as thin as you choose. If you turn it up all the way it's a very dense vapor that will make you cough when you hit it. If you use the lower temps the weed will burn slower and you'll get more bags filled but with a less dense smoke. One of the best parts about this thing was the ease of using it. The last thing I want to do when I'm smoking is waiting for a lighter to vaporize a piece of bud and to make sure that the vapor isn't escaping, but with the volcano you just watch as the bag fills with smoke then once it's done it sits there and waits for you to hit it. No worries about escaping smoke or loss of heat.

I don't know what else I can say. Just remember to take off the bowl while you're sucking on the bag.
