I was talking with my friend today and he mentioned a drug called DMT (I don't know what it stands for). Anyway apparently it exists in all living things and is the chemical in your brain that created the imagery for your dreams. Anyway i just wanted to see if anyone had any info on it. All i know is that is costs near $300 per gram, but will fuck u up to the point where you no longer even realize what "plane of existence" your in, I.E. hardcore hallucinations that only last like 30 mins, but is supposedly even trippier than LSD. any info would be appreciated.

looks kind of intriuging i will try most anything once, i just wanted to make sure it wasn't going to put a whole in my brain the size of a walnut.
still debating whether or not to do it, problem is finding a dealer and coming up with $300

If its 300$ a gram, think about it before you buy. Thats a bigass waste of money, 300$ for 30 mins of intense hallucinations. FUCK that shit boi.

$300 per gram, 15-20mg doseage thats like 66 trips at least
66 trips x 30 min. per trip=1,980 mins of tripping (roughly), 33 hours (roughly)
compared to 3 hours tops for a gram of weed

yeah you don't need to buy an entire gram of it, seeing how only one or two hits gets you fucked. And good luck finding it, it's very rare.

I doubt i will find any anyway, just wanted some info on it

the way i see it it is the ultimate hallucinagen, no risk of dependency and it doesn't melt your brain, only downside is the rarity and cost

Hey all it's good to be back and posting for my occasional post that i can squeeze in. however i have recently learned of DMT (hence posting in this thread) and i am eager, anxious, nervous and excited to say that i am going to be trying this here soon (between now and christmas possibly).

Di-methyl tryptamine is what its called for those of you whom havent visited erowid about it. I just finished a fascinating book about it called "DMT: the Spirit Molecule." It is an intensely interesting read, and i suggest it to anyone curious about trying DMT.

As another point of reference, search for "joe rogan dmt" on google video and watch the 15 minute long video that turns up. this was the first thing that i had ever heard about dmt. its also a great video and reference for DMT.

as i hear you all talking about the outrageous prices of DMT, i am surprised that more of you havent either searched or make the connection that dmt can be homemade. You have already established the connection that it exists in every living thing, right? there are many methods of extracting semi-pure dmt from plants, and, in my case, bark from a mimosa hostilis tree bark.

the dmt containing plants to note are...

Acacia spp. (Maiden's Wattle)
Anadenanthera spp. (Yopo)
Arundo donax (Giant River Reed)
Desmanthus illinoensis (Bundle Flower)
Diplopterys cabrerana (Chagro-panga)
Mimosa hostilis (Jurema)
Phalaris Grass (Reed Canary Grass)
Psychotria viridis
Virola spp. (Epeña)

anyhow, when, and if i take a voyage on the ship called di-methyl tryptamine, i will report back here as to how it went. until then, peace!

EDIT: here is one of the many trip reports that the previously mentioned book (DMT the spirit molecule) contains....

"The trip started with an electric tingling in my body, and quickly the visuals arrived. then i noticed 5 or 6 figures walking rapidly alongside me. The fely like helpers, fellow travelers. A humanoid male figure turned toward me, threw his right arm up toward the patchwork of bright colours and asked "How about this?" The kaleidoscopic patterns immediately became brighter and moved more rapidly. A second and then a third asked and did the same thing. At that point, i decided to go further, deeper.

I immediately saw a bright yellow-white light directly in front of me. I chose to open it. I was consumed by it and became a part of it. There were no distinctions--no figures or lines, shadows or outlines. There was no body or anything inside or outside. I was devoid of self, of thought, of time, of space, ego, or anything but the light....

there are no symbols in my language to describe the sense of pure being, oneness and ecstacy."

there are tons of great trip reports in the book, as the guy who wrote it was a doctor and he did 4 doses intraveinously (intraveinously=IV) per person in any given day--one low dose of .2 mg per kg of body weight, two medium doses of .3 mg/kg and a high dose of .4 mg/kg.

this report was a medium dose.

Both are fucked up. I tried Salvia and had a terrible experience and now I'm really scared to try it again or to ever smoke DMT. DMT is released in your brain when you die and when you are born. WHEN YOU DIE! Your brain thinks your dead! Reality is gone!

Fuck. That. I like my sanity thanks very much. I know this sounds ignorant and narrow minded but it's not. I've read article after article on this stuff and it just seems like such a bad idea even for the most experienced psychonaut.
