i was just wondering cuase i have stared coughin alot and spit up lugys when i do cough. i have heard that metal pipes are bad for you and i was wonderin if this will go away and did the my metal pipe do this or is it my lungs are just gettin used to the smoken?

Metal pipes aren't bad for you, as far as I know. I have found that smoking with a metal pipe is very harsh on the lungs because the smoke doesn't have far to travel from the bowl to your mouth. Also there is no water chamber to cool the smoke before it enters your fleshy lung tissue.

So basically metal pipes aren't bad. Just the design can be bad. Metal and heat equals hot metal. Hot smoke traveling a short distance through hot metal means very hot smoke in your chest. Therefore, we have massive 'loogies'.

I doubt it's the metal that's causeing you to spit up a bit after inhaling. Your lungs are probobly still adjusting or your hits are just to big. I don't think metals neccissarily bad for you, but it doesn't taste very good.

I'd stick to glass if I were you. And take smaller hits.

I thought metal was bad for you. Or was it just aluminum? Someone confirm this for me.

Aluminum supposedly causes Alzheimer’s but its still widely debated. i also heard once its only tin foil that does it.

Couldn’t tell you either way, but i would just stay away from it unless you have nothing else, just to be safe.

i found out to day i have a synes infection, but i was just askin becuase i m not 18 and my freinds wont by anything for that are 18 and i got this pipe for free and its all i have to smoke with

Actually, my pyrex has is alot smaller than my steel pipe. But maybe I just have a strange steel bowl anyways I don't think that metal pipes are any worse for you than glass, but I like the taste of smoking out of glass alot better.

My glass pipe gets hot... but I guess it doesnt retain the heat as long as a metal one would. My friend has this pipe thats looks like a block. its a half in tall and 3/4" long. you take the two pieces apart (like lego) and stick them together (they have magnets) its an inch and a half long total and strangely, the hits are huge but never harsh.

i dont use screens lol i didnt know about them and had no way of getting them lol im silly.

Smoking without a screen is bad? What about in a bong with a metal bowl where we just pull the ash through...

I smoke without a screen sometimes, the only negative health effect is burning your tongue when you get weed in your mouth.

ALWAYS use screens, no matter what. Unless you're an idiot who doesn't care about his health, you should always use screens. Trust me, I've inhaled ash before, and it was bad enough to cause me enormous discomfort and burnin - even when HIGH. It feels that bad.

well i cant buy screens and i dont have another way to smoke as of now .... im thinkin about makin a gravity bong il see
