Trivia for SEEDS

Post by Weedguru_Falkon »

Alright, so I decided to make a trivia thread. For each question I ask i will post how many seeds its worth; the harder the question, the more seeds you win with a correct answer. I know that seeds arent worth anything right now, but believe me when i say that the other mods and myself and animal (site owner if you didnt know) are working to try and get a virtual seed store up and running.

As for categories for the questions.... its up to me:) they will vary a lot.

That said, let's begin!

First question: 1,000 seeds

Image
This is a famous part of the universe.
For 500 seeds, tell what the common name for this is. (meaning not the scientific name... unless you want to put that)
for 500 seeds, in what constellation is it part of?

Duh, the horsehead nebula in Orion's Belt.

Please, anybody that took astronomy in high school knows that.

EDIT - PS:
Also, I noticed the URL to that very cool picture happens to have "horsehead" right in it. You should really put the photos somewhere else before you link to them.

haha I actually have the horsehead nebula as my wallpaper, amazing to trip out to.

But if you really want to trip out (for all those people who feel an indescribable sensation when star gazing) find the Hubble Ultra Deep field shot.. turn on DroneZone on SomaFM.. prepare to travel the universe.

Or if you are lucky enough to live far from city lights. Find out when the next new moon will be, get some good bud ready, find a sweet chilling spot with nice tunes and toke away.

It bothers the hell out of me to think that in that picture we are way beyond microscopic.

and we are looking through a spot in the sky the size of a grain of sand held at arms length, showing 13 billion years ago

What gets me every time is looking behind the bigger galaxies, and see more distant ones
