This wouldnt be the first time a major figure who opposes the US government dies under mysterious circumstances. unfortunately this doesnt piss me off but it does piss me off. well here are some links the third one was the main article and the other three are support. i found the first link the most informative.

Those stories dont really match the accounts I have read (of the great One's Death)from Thompson's wife, Anita, and her son,Juan, and from other friends..like Steadman...
they all spoke in the aftermath of his suidice, not in a surprised/shocked tone more just in a disheartened 'well that was hunter for you, he chose how he lived, he chose how he died'manner..
ithough, the door does seem slightly ajar now...
i think if i accepted that there wasa chance that Bush had my teacher killed, i might end up on that grassy knole myself..........

give me a day or so and i will get working on his criminally overdue 'hall of fame' post....
the picture in my signature is of the Great Man...(drawn by his close buddy- Ralph Steadman, who is a Brit)
for now, just assume he was some kinda outlaw journalist who possessed not only amazing writing talents but also an often uncomfortable wisdom (to others) which he couldnt avoid hitting with most literal investigations he pursued.....
to me, he was the most talented writer in history. certainly in terms of style and content and relevance...

Doc, it seems, that the water is far more murky than I had assumed. My gaze has been so focused on his work, the lines he wrote whilst alive, that i have neglected the now obvious worrying suspicions surounding his 'suicide'..
I will do some research, as I'm sure you can imagine,Doc; the thought of one of my most hated lifeforms been resposnsbile for the death of my most admired, is frankly horrific..
