If you like text-based medieval war type stuff, try
www.battlemaster.org. It's a game that you can play in between lunch breaks, it only requires you to log in once or twice a day if you want to keep up with the rest. It's a game that doesn't require you to be a nerd without a life to actually accomplish anything.
It's mostly about waging war, you get placed into a realm with a bunch of others and you fight other realms. Just get yourself some soldiers and off you go, that's all it takes. Pretty fun game.

Lineage II has a free download off of their main site and I just might know of a private server.
