How can I clean a pipe?
It's a 3'' "Cognito Mushroom Pipe" that becomes a keyring if needed. I don't wish to get the "resin" or anything, just want it clear of blockage.
Any ideas?

there are literally hundreds of posts about cleaning your pipe...
buy 420 cleaner, or scrape it out with a a paper clip.

Should I douse it in water first to "soften" it up?

douse it, let it soak, and shake it around with rubbing alcohol or fingernail polish remover. then scrape it out and rinse it out with hot water. you can also boil the pipe in boiling water. ive done both i think boiling it works best.

I don't want to boil it, lest the paint and the coloful designs come off.
